Playa Blanca contains about 9 kilometers long beach, which is broken in three smaller parts. Looking from East to west they are called Playa Dorada, Playa Blanca and Playa Flamingo. The middle, Playa Blanca, is the most quite  beach of these three. It combines both from sand and rocks. Playa Dorado is the most popular beach of the resort. The water here usually is very calm, it makes the beach very popular for water activities, from simple swimming to breath taking banana boats or parascending. Both Playa Dorado and Playa Blanca are with lifeguards.

Playa Flamingo is more remote beach, but it is conected with the city by sea front walkway. It tooks about half an hour to reach this beach from the city centre. However, there still are many bars and restaurants. Playa flamingo is not the best place in the resort for water activities because there are no lifeguards.

Weather in Playa Blanca is really mild. Weather is suitable for all year round travelling. Coldest months are January – February, when temperature can drop to 14 degrees Celsius or even more. The most warm period in Lanzarote is summer, July to September. Average high temperature reaches 30 degrees, sometimes can reach even 40 degrees Celsius.
